Our 2026 industry report found that 90% of jewelry stores are seeing more custom requests. Melting down pieces customers already own accounts for 65% of that work.

As demand grows, you need software that organizes custom work and keeps customers updated. Luxe Software offers a point of sale (POS) system that supports those needs. It tracks custom jobs and repairs in one place and includes built-in two-way texting.

But Luxe’s website doesn’t document appraisals or trade-ins. It’s important to have both if customers are bringing in jewelry to repurpose.

This review covers what Luxe does well and where it comes up short. It also compares four options if you’re shopping for a Luxe POS alternative.

What Luxe Jewelry POS Software Does Well

Luxe works in the cloud and serves jewelry stores exclusively, so you’re not adapting general retail software. Its website calls the interface intuitive and mobile-friendly. Here are a few features that stand out:

  • Keep jobs and history together: Pull up a customer’s past purchases while writing their custom order — without switching apps.
  • Update customers as work progresses: Reach clients through built-in texting and a business phone line, so repurpose jobs don’t stall while waiting on approval.
  • Skip manual invoice entry: Photograph a vendor invoice, and Luxe’s AI automatically adds the items to your inventory. In a Rapaport interview, CEO Val Katayev said this cut one store’s nine-hour entry job to six minutes.
  • Spot slow sellers: Check which pieces haven’t sold and how much stock you carry from each vendor.
  • Connect your website: Sell online through Shopify or Punchmark, both listed as Luxe integration partners.

On Luxe’s website, owners point to faster checkout and more time with clients. For a store that wants its custom jobs and client follow-up in one place, that’s a solid start.

Where Luxe Jewelry POS Software Falls Short

Luxe handles the custom job itself well, but the work around that job is harder to evaluate. Its website also leaves out some of the details buyers need most.

Luxe Doesn’t Document the Intake Steps

A repurpose job starts well before your jeweler sits down at the bench. First, you value the customer’s piece. Then you take it in on trade and credit that value toward the new design.

Luxe’s website walks through the benchwork in its Jobs & Custom module, but it doesn’t mention appraisals or trade-ins. Before you commit, ask the team to demo the full process with a sample ring. That way, you’ll know whether the system makes custom work easier for your shop.

Luxe Doesn’t List Stuller or Geller Blue Book as Partners

Remake work depends on two vendors. Stuller supplies the mountings and findings, while Geller Blue Book prices the bench labor.

Neither one appears on the platform’s partner list, though the software may still connect to them without advertising it. If it doesn’t, your staff will have to look up prices by hand on every job. Ask the sales team to confirm both integrations in writing before you sign.

Luxe POS Reviews and Support Options Are Limited

Custom work has deadlines. When support is slow to answer, you’re the one calling a customer to move their pickup date.

The Luxe website lists a support email address. It doesn’t list a phone number, support hours, or a help center. Their company says new funding will grow its support team, but that growth is still ahead.

Outside reviews are hard to find, too. Luxe is newer than systems like Jewel360 and The Edge. There’s no customer feedback on Capterra or G2 as of September 2026. Luxe publishes testimonials on its own website instead.

Luxe Pricing Isn’t Published

You won’t find prices or plans on Luxe’s website. Every button sends you to a demo request.

That’s a fair model, but it makes budgeting harder. Tier structure, user caps, and add-on fees all stay private until you’ve spent time on a sales call. You can’t line their platform up against other systems before then.

💎 Gem Drop: On a demo, ask Luxe for a written quote that lists user limits, card processing rates, and add-on fees. With that in hand, you can compare the total cost against systems that publish their prices.

What Jewel360 Offers as a Luxe POS Alternative

Jewel360 supports every step of a repurpose job in one system. That includes intake tools like appraisals and trade-ins, which Luxe’s website doesn’t mention.

The steps below follow a customer’s gold through each stage of the job:

  1. Value what comes in: Write appraisals and process trade-ins, consignment, and layaway without add-on tools.
  2. Price the work accurately: Link Stuller and Geller Blue Book directly, plus Clientbook, QuickBooks, and Affirm, through built-in integrations.
  3. Track the job through pickup: Create digital job tickets with photos, plus automatic text and email updates.
  4. Give the finished piece its own record: Log stone details, Gemological Institute of America (GIA) certificates, and vendor info within inventory management.
  5. Protect the purchase at checkout: Send sales to Luxsurance, the Jewelers Mutual insurance app. This way, customers can insure new pieces on the spot.
  6. See costs up front: Find plans from $199 per month on the pricing page, with unlimited users and products. Then use the Build and Price tool to estimate software and hardware on your own.

Jewel360 holds a 5.0 rating on Capterra. One store manager wrote that “we can almost immediately get a response from their team.”

Fast support helps when a custom job has a pickup date on the line. It also helps during a switch, when open jobs and customer records have to move without slowing down your bench.

Making the Switch From Luxe to Jewel360

Open custom jobs make timing tricky. Your item records, repair tickets, and customer history all have to land in the right place.

To make the switch easier, a dedicated customer success manager from Jewel360 is assigned to every new store. That person handles your hardware setup, staff training, and data transition. Most stores go live in six to eight weeks, and we can move faster if you need it.

After launch, you get live phone support on every plan. A searchable knowledge base covers the quick questions your staff can get answers to without calling.

💎 Gem Drop: Ask Luxe how to export your customer records and open repair tickets before you cancel. A clean export speeds up the move and protects jobs that are already on the bench.

Other Luxe Alternatives Worth Considering

Jewel360 isn’t the only Luxe POS alternative on the market. Each of these three systems approaches custom and estate work differently.

The Edge has served independent jewelers since 2004, but it’s an on-premise system — you install it on computers in your store rather than accessing it through the cloud. It covers appraisals, trade-ins, and RFID tags for large inventory counts.

Running it requires a Windows computer and a server, which costs $3,000 to $5,000 up front. Single-store licenses run $4,600 for one workstation and $5,700 for three. Multilocation setups start at $12,450, but repair tracking isn’t digital.

Pavilion ERP is a Salesforce-based system for jewelers who sell to both shoppers and other retailers. Along with appraisals and trade-ins, it handles wholesale tasks like memo invoicing.

Plans start at $299 per month for one user and climb to $999 per month for the top tier. That plan adds more users, integrations, and reporting. Pavilion also requires a separate payment processor and doesn’t offer layaway or built-in marketing automation.

Crystal POS launched online in 2020, built by third-generation jeweler Michael Razny. Repairs and custom orders share one workflow, which works well for stores with steady benchwork.

Crystal doesn’t publish pricing and doesn’t connect with Stuller. Its feature list also skips trade-ins and consignment.

Luxe vs. Jewel360: Which Jewelry POS Fits Your Store?

Luxe manages custom orders and keeps customers posted along the way. For a store that mostly does benchwork on its own inventory, that may be enough.

But 65% of custom work starts with jewelry the customer already owns, and Jewel360 handles that job at every stage. Appraisals and trade-ins take care of intake, vendor integrations price bench labor, and serialized records track finished pieces. Customers stay in the loop, too, through two-way texting built into the platform.

Every plan includes live phone support, and a dedicated customer success manager guides your move. For a closer look, read our full Luxe vs. Jewel360 comparison. Then compare Jewel360’s plans to find the tier that fits your store.

Luxe Software Review FAQs

Still weighing your options? Here are the questions jewelers ask most about Luxe pricing, features, and reviews.

Is Luxe cloud-based?

Yes. Luxe describes itself as a cloud-based platform that combines POS, customer records, inventory, and analytics. Its website also calls the interface mobile-friendly, which helps if your staff works away from the counter.

Jewel360 works in the cloud as well, so remote access carries over if you switch.

Is Luxe Software the same as Luxare?

No, though the similar names make them easy to confuse. This article reviews Luxe Software. Luxare is a separate product from Diaspark that sells its own jewelry and watch software. Before you book a demo, double-check which company you’re talking to.

How much does Luxe POS cost?

Luxe doesn’t publish pricing, plan tiers, or user caps, so you’ll need a sales call for a quote. Once you have one, ask for it in writing with card processing rates and add-on fees listed.

If you’d rather see costs up front, Jewel360 plans start at $199 per month with unlimited users and products.

Can I process appraisals and trade-ins using Luxe POS?

Luxe’s website doesn’t say. Its Jobs & Custom module describes the bench process but skips the intake steps that come first. If customers bring you pieces to repurpose, ask the demo team to walk through an appraisal and trade-in live.

Jewel360, on the other hand, includes appraisals, trade-ins, consignment, and layaway on every plan.

How does Luxe track one-of-a-kind pieces?

Luxe mentions inventory management but doesn’t explain how it tracks individual pieces. That’s worth checking if you carry estate or one-of-a-kind jewelry. During a demo, ask the team to pull up two similar rings and show a separate record for each.

With Jewel360, every piece has its own record, complete with stone details, GIA certificates, and vendor info.

Which integrations come with Luxe?

Luxe lists Shopify and Punchmark as partners for online sales, but Stuller and Geller Blue Book aren’t on that list. The software may still connect to them without saying so. If it doesn’t, your staff will need to look up mounting costs and labor prices by hand on every job.

Jewel360 avoids that step with built-in Stuller and Geller Blue Book integrations, along with Clientbook, QuickBooks, and Affirm.

Does Luxe include two-way texting?

Yes. Luxe pairs two-way texting with a business phone line, so you can update clients as custom work moves along.

Jewel360 also builds two-way texting into its platform, so you won’t lose that feature by switching.

What kind of customer support comes with Luxe?

Luxe’s website lists a support email address, with no phone number, support hours, or help center. The company says it plans to grow its support team with new funding.

Jewel360 takes a different approach, with live phone support on every plan and a searchable knowledge base for quick questions.

Should I switch to a Luxe alternative?

Luxe can work if most of your custom jobs use your own inventory. It also suits stores that don’t mind waiting on a sales call for pricing. If customers regularly bring you gold to remake, though, a Luxe alternative might serve you better. That kind of work moves faster when appraisals, trade-ins, and vendor pricing live in one system.

What’s the best Luxe alternative for independent jewelers?

For independent jewelry stores, Jewel360 is the closest match to Luxe’s all-in-one approach. It also fills the gaps Luxe’s website leaves open, with appraisals, trade-ins, and Stuller and Geller Blue Book integrations. Along with published pricing, Jewel360 assigns a dedicated customer success manager to handle your setup and data transition. That help makes it easier to move open jobs without falling behind on pickups.
